Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The programme offers awards to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world to study for a master’s degree in any subject at any UK university.

The British Chevening Scholarship in UK 2023 is now open and applicants of any nationality can now apply for this fully funded scholarship. Chevening Scholarship is sponsored by the UK Government. This is a UK government scholarship and offers fully funded master’s programmes. It is huge at around 1500 points. The scholarship can be taken in any course at any UK university. There are no restrictions on courses of study in UK universities.

Tuition, accommodation, monthly stipend and free airfare are provided along with many other health benefits. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in good academic standing with work experience, whether volunteer or other experience. Applications for Chevening Rewards can only be submitted through the Chevening online system. You can choose from over 12,000 master’s courses in over 150 different higher education institutions.

Eligibility criteria for applying Chevening Scholarships in UK for International Students:

To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must:

•         Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.

•         Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your scholarship has ended

•         Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time you submit your application. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK but may be different depending on your course and university choice.

•         Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.

•         Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 13 July 2023.
