field based loan officer you will be responsible for engaging with clients
directly, assessing their creditworthiness, and facilitating loan applications
and disbursements.

ideal candidate should have prior experience in microfinance operations, a

economic growth of underserved communities.

Job
Requirements:
Ø Bachelors
degree in any relevant field.
Ø Proven
experience as a loan officer in a microfinance institution
Ø Strong
mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to make accurate financial
calculations in the field.
Ø Knowledge of
microfinance principles, practices, and methodologies.
Ø Familiarity
with the local economic landscape and cultural dynamics of the target area.
Ø Excellent
communications and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and
build lasting relationships.
Ø Ability to
work independently and as part of a team in a field based setting.
Ø Fluency in Swahili
and proficiency in English for reporting and communication purpose.
Job
Responsibilities:
Ø Conduct through
and accurate assessments of loan applications, evaluating creditworthiness of
potential clients based on established criteria and guidelines.
Ø Develop and
maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, providing
excellent customer service and building trust within the community.
Ø Identify and
analyze the financial needs of clients and recommend suitable microfinance
product tailored to their requirements.
Ø Educate
clients on the terms and conditions of loan products, ensuring they fully
understand the repayments schedules, interest rates and associated fees.
Ø Conduct
field visits to assess the viability of business proposals , verify collateral
and evaluate the performance and progress of existing loan clients.
Ø Collaborate
with the credit committee to review loan application and make informed decisions
on loan approval and disbursements.
Ø Monitor loan
portfolios and follow up on repayments, providing guidance and support to
clients to maintain a healthy repayment record.
Ø Prepare and maintain
accurate and detailed records of a loan applications, client interactions, and
loan disbursements using microfinance software and tools.
