135 graduate scholarships a year for studies in economics, business and
management, science and technology, and other development-related fields.

Scholarship 2023-24. Asian Development Bank has announced marvelous career
opportunities for students holding a Bachelor’s degree and unable to pursue
their education due to financial and other circumstances. ADB promotes you to

Eligibility Criteria of
Asian Development Bank Scholarship 2023-24:
Eligibility
requirements
The candidate should:
Ø be a national
of an ADB borrowing member country and Japanese ODA scholarship-eligible
country
Ø not hold
dual citizenship of any developed country;
Ø have
gained admission to an approved master’s course at a Designated Institution.
Ø hold a
bachelor's degree or its equivalent with superior academic record;
Ø have at
least two (2) years of full-time professional working experience (acquired
after a university degree) at the time of application. The candidate must have
proficiency in oral and written English communication skills to be able to
pursue studies;
Ø not be
more than 35 years old at the time of application, unless waived in exceptional
cases with the expressed endorsement of the Government of Japan;
Ø be in
good health;
Ø agree to
return and work in his/her home country for at least two (2) years after
completion of studies under the Program in order to contribute to its
development;
Ø not be an
Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, management, staff and consultants of
ADB, or the close relatives of the aforementioned by blood or adoption with the
term "close relative" defined as: spouse, mother, stepmother, father,
stepfather, sister, stepsister, brother, stepbrother, son, daughter, aunt,
uncle, niece, or nephew;
Ø not be
staff of ADB–JSP Designated Institutions;
Ø not be
living or working in a country other than his/her home country; and
Ø not be
already enrolled in graduate degree programs.
How to Apply for Asian
Development Bank Scholarship 2022-23?
Ø Students
have to request the chosen partner institution for an application form.
Ø Fill in
the personal details, proposed study plan, academic record, professional
history, and references of the previous employer.
Ø Answer
the asked questions which include any other additional resources, if required.
Ø The
reasons for undertaking the particular course from the specified institution.
Ø After
completing the required documentation, students have to send the documents to
the institution.
Ø Ensure to
mention the area of your interest.
Ø Complete
your application form carefully and submit it.

Selection Criteria for the
ADB Japan Scholarship Program 2023-24:
Ø Stage
1: Institute sends the shortlisted candidates to ADB.
Ø Stage
2: ADB review and send the list of recommended awardees to the
Japanese executive director.
Ø Stage
3: ADB selects scholars and informs institutes.
Ø Stage
4: Institution will inform the selected ones.
